Piano-Accompanist

Bettina Sutter spent her childhood in St. Gallen (Switzerland), where she had her first piano, viola and singing lessons. Her piano studies took her to the Zurich Music Academy, to Urs Voegelin and Homero Francesch. She completed her studies with a concert diploma for Lieder accompaniment with Irwin Gage.
For many years she played in various orchestras and ensembles as Pianist and Celesta Player. After the births of her three children, she directed her professional focus towards teaching. In addition to her activity as a piano teacher at the she frequently works together with choirs. As a sought-after Lieder Accompanist and versatile chamber music partner, she gives concerts in various formations.

Yoshiko Iwai studied with Hitoshi Kobayashi in Tokyo and with Friedrich Wilhelm Schnurr in Detmold. In 1993 she passed her concert examination with distinction and subsequently held a university teaching position at the Music Academy of Detmold until 1996. She received important stimuli through György Sebök’s master classes.
Yoshiko Iwai is a prizewinner of significant national and international competitions. She performs in international concerts as Soloist and Chamber Musician and has been a tutor at the Zurich University of the Arts since 2000.
